Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport is located in the south-west part of Warsaw, within the city borders and is easily accessible from every point of the city. Distance to the city centre is approx. 10 km. There are two buses (no.175 and 188) going directly from the airport to the city centre. Journey takes about 25-30 mins.

Warsaw has three large railway stations for international and intercity connections: Western Warsaw Station (Warszawa Zachodnia), Central Warsaw Station (Warszawa Centralna), Eastern Warsaw Station (Warszawa Wschodnia) (along the same east-west line). The best place to get on and off trains is the Central Station, located in the heart of the city centre (54 Jerozolimskie Street). In the underground and overground levels of the Station there are: a pharmacy, a post office, exchange bureaux (kantors), cash machines, numerous shops and kiosks, fast-food bars and bookshops. In the main hall there is tourist information office (near the railway information office).

The speed limit in Warsaw
is now 50km/hr. In other urban areas the limit is 60km/hr, outside urban areas
90km/hr, dual carriageways 110km/hr and motorways 130km/hr. Petrol stations are
opened 24 hours and have small grocery stores inside.
Foreigners can drive on their national licenses for six months from the entry
date on their passport
Coach transport
The
largest coach station, both for domestic and international destinations, is the
Western Warsaw Coach Station (Dworzec PKS Warszawa Zachodnia), 144 Jerozolimskie
Street. The concourse has tourist and coach information offices. Another coach
station, for eastbound destinations, both domestic and international (Belarus,
Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Russia - Kaliningrad), is the Warsaw Stadion Station
(Warszawa Stadion), Zieleniecka Street.
Polish Express (Polski Express) coaches (domestic lines) depart from the coach
stop a Jana Pawła II Street, between the Central Station and the Holiday Inn
Hotel, and from Frederic Chopin Airport.
